Colleges accepting UCEED 2018 score/rank for admissions & seats available

One of the most difficult and competitive entrance exams for a Bachelors in Design happens to be the UCEED, conducted in the first half of the year, every year since 2015. It is very sought after as it can lead to admissions in departments of design in reputed Universities such as:

• IIT Bombay- It is an university with alumni in positions such as the Director of the Global Advanced Design Studio of Whirlpool to the Vice President of Product Development at Mahindra and Mahindra. It has one of the best DoD’s in the country and is therefore on top of the list of dream universities that design hopefuls aspire to join. The seats are limited, in 2018 the number of seats offered were just 30.

• IIT Guwahati- Ranjan Boldoroi, Furniture designer and winner of the Reddot design is a distinguished alumni from this university. The university is known for the fests and seminars conducted on their premises, and for the stellar placements offered in companies such as IBM. The competition for these seats are therefore high, with seats as few as 45, as per 2018.

• IIITDM Jabalpur- “an educational institute born for innovation in design and engineering” is what the university claims to be, and judging from the creative students and rigorous curriculum built for the programme, the university promises to be just that. With placements and internships in companies such as, Adobe, Wipro etc, students receive a good education as well as an all-rounded exposure to the industry. The seats available are generally around 30.
