About us
R.V. College of Architecture (RVCA) is established in the year 1992. Initially, it started as Department of Architecture in R. V. College of Engineering (RVCE), Bengaluru. In 1995, the department shifted to an independent new building within the RVCE campus. The department obtained autonomy and renamed to R.V School of Architecture in 2009. Later in the same year, Council of Architecture (COA), India, approved its re-designation to R.V College of Architecture.
In 2014, it shifted to a new campus with affiliation to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka. The new campus is an iconic example of contemporary architecture. It contains Academic Block class rooms, seminar halls & studios, Administration Block & Hostel Block.

Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch)
Eligibility
KCET:
We take admission through the KCET merit list of current year as notified and published by KEA. In addition to this, the candidate should must – have/be
- Architectural Aptitude – NATA : a valid NATA Score
- Qualifying Examination : Minimum 50% (in aggregate) or Second division/class in 10+2/ intermediate/PUC/any other equivalent state exam
- Resident of Karnataka state (Domicile)
- be older than 17 years (Age limit)
COMED-K
The following is the weightages for arriving at the rank list for admission through CET/COMED-K
- Architectural Aptitude – NATA : 50% of the marks scored by the candidate
- Qualifying Examination : 50% of the marks scored by the candidate
Candidates seeking admissions under this category shall obtain admission through the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K).
The qualifying examination prescribed for admission to B. Arch is 2nd PUC [OR] 10+2 higher secondary or an equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the evaluative subjects [OR] a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka).
Candidates should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 for both General Merit and Category Candidates.
The candidates seeking admission under this quota need to necessarily register using the online forms hosted on the Comed-K website and once registered should regularly check the announcements made on the Comed-K website.
Management Quota
The Candidates should satisfy the below requirements before sending the e-mail:
- 10th Std: 70% in Science & Mathematics subjects separately.
- 11th std: Min. 65% in Physics & Mathematics subjects separately.
- If 12th results are announced: Min. 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and 50% in aggregate.
- The Candidate should compulsorily qualify NATA.
Masters in Architecture (M. Arch)
Eligibility:
KCET
- Candidates having B.Arch. Degree from a recognized University with 50% aggregate marks are eligible.
- The candidate must appear in PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority), the announcement for which is usually done in the month of May/June.
- Candidates with valid GATE score.
Management Quota
Candidates fulfilling the following minimum qualification may apply for admission to M. Arch. [Urban Design] Program under Management Quota:
- A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination [B.Arch.] and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years is eligible for admission to M. Arch. (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates.)
- Candidates should pass in PGCET/ GATE Examination.
