RV Educational Institutions (RVEI), governed by Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), is recognized among the few value-based and quality-oriented educational groups in the country. The Trust endeavours to impart quality education to all strata of society.

RV University is a State Private University which has been established in Karnataka State with RSST as the sponsoring body through Act No.34 of 2019, passed by the Karnataka Legislature. The Missions of RSST and RV University is “Excellence in Education with Societal Commitment”.

As part of RV university, the School of Design and Innovation is more thana teaching (and placement) machine. It is populated by learners andteachers who enjoy experimentation, inquiry, risk taking, and evidence-based research and decision making, who enjoy collaborative learning.

Mission

SDI adopts an integrated approach to learning, which draws upon the fields of art, architecture, design, science, humanities, social science, engineering, economics, and other fields, and expects that its graduates will similarly find their place in a hybrid, fluid domain of action and intervention – as design practitioners, strategists, researchers, advisors, academics, and entrepreneurs.

SDI engages with industry in order to positively impact industry from within the academic space, as well as orient its students to being professionally and emotionally ready to be a part of the design industry and make lasting contributions as design thought leaders.

Eligibility

10+2 or equivalent in any stream; Science, Commerce, Arts, Humanities, etc. (CBSE, ISC, IB, Cambridge, State Boards and other Govt. recognized boards) with minimum aggregate marks of 60%.
GCE/IGCSE/GCSE examinations of the approved British Examination Bodies, with Minimum 5 (Five) subjects in A, B, C Grades including English at ORDINARY (“O”) Level and 2/3 subjects at ADVANCED (“A”) LEVEL has been equated with +2 stage qualification.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Courses – Candidates should secure 24 points with a minimum of three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three subjects at Standard Level (SL).

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in design/ Engineering (Any stream)/ Architecture/ Interior Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year Bachelor’s programme)
B.F.A./B.V.A. (4 Year professional programme with entry after 10+2)
G.D. Arts (four-year program after one-year foundation) + 1 Year of work experience
10 + 2 + 3 year Degree + 1 year work experience

Ph.D
