The process of creative impact-making is interdisciplinary and draws upon the disciplines of art, design and technology synthetically. Conventional perspectives to sense-making, problem-framing and envisioning are complemented by new methods and approaches that are informed through the intersections of art, design and technology.

Courses Offered
Undergraduate Skill Based Vocational Program (B.Voc)
The Undergraduate Skill Based Vocational Program is a 3-year program that is based on the National Skills Qualification Framework (levels 4, 5, 6 and 7).
National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) is a nationally integrated education and competency-based skill framework that provides for multiple pathways, horizontal as well as vertical, across education subsystems. NSQF addresses the skill gap in India by driving policy at the governmental level to introduce skill-based employment-oriented courses.
The courses under this program, follow the National Skills Qualification Framework (levels 4, 5, 6,7) and incorporate the National Occupational Standards (NOS) as laid down by the concerned sector skill council.
The program is designed to be industry-focused and aims to prepare its graduates for skill-based careers in the creative industries. Using an apprenticeship model, the program allows the students to work with and be mentored by creative industry experts to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among a diverse group of learners and prepare them to be work ready.

Postgraduate Professional Program in Design – M.Des
The Postgraduate Professional Program in Design at Srishti Manipal is a program specifically designed for graduates or experienced professionals who wish to extend and enhance their design knowledge and practice. The program is driven by an interdisciplinary engagement with theories, methodologies and advanced skills of design thinking and doing.
The engagement is divided into two phases. The first year focuses on understanding and appreciating the design thinking theories, methodologies and advanced skills. And the second year focuses on applying the understanding to drive a reflective inquiry into a complex real-world wicked problem.
The Postgraduate Professional Program in Design thereby offers a unique opportunity to chart a new direction in one’s creative practice towards contributing to knowledge creation and expansion going beyond the traditional skill-based design roles.

The Postgraduate Diploma Program (PGDP) Bridge makes it easier for a student to enter a Master's program in Art and Design, even with three years of undergraduate education in a totally unrelated discipline. This program represents a real opportunity for students who have completed a three-year course such as B.A./B.Sc./B. Com/B.Litt.; or in service sector-oriented programs such as hotel management or hospitality; as it will give them the essential skills needed to continue into Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.), Master of Design (M.Des.) or Master of Planning (M. Doctoral Program in Art, Design and Transdisciplinary Studies – PhD
The 3-year Doctoral Programme at Srishti Manipal provides opportunities for both the novice and the more experienced practitioner to build a research proposal around ideas that can be supported through interactions and immersion into a community of creatives. The mission of the Programme is to broaden the field of vision, develop new ways to look at the not-so-new contexts and build with confidence a body of work that engages dynamically with theoretical perspectives.

DOCTORAL PROGRAM IN ART, DESIGN AND TRANSDISCIPLINARY STUDIES (PhD)
- An applicant seeking admission to the 3-Year Doctoral program must have an aggregate of 60% or an equivalent grade, in the Master’s degree.
- Applicants with Master’s degrees or equivalent from foreign universities will have to produce a certificate or recognition/equivalence by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), as equivalent to the corresponding Indian degrees, for the purpose of higher studies.
