What worked for me was to sit with one of the DQ Faculty and learn the technical skill of drawing humans. Eventually, a human can be dran within basic 2D and 3D shapes. Learn the basics, don't try and jump to drawing poses and actions!

Mark a height on your reference line(which is perpendicular to your horizon line), eg: 1/3rd the height of the line, and draw a line from that point to the vanishing point. that way all heights will remain fixed along that line.
